I got up early and went to hang around in an old street that will soon be destroyed and replaced by office buildings. Very lively place. As I was taking photo, I heard this man complaining. He was like "look at the foreigner, he is taking photo of people but doesn't pay them", of course he assumed I couldn't understand what he was saying. Then I looked at him and he did too, he was selling fish. I then noticed that a cat seized the opportunity to eat some bit of it as the man was complaining about my presence.

Me again although you probably don't remember me. I've also been around these poor areas (I'm Chinese) and it's a very eye-opening experience. Don't know if you know what I mean by it though.

I would not necessary call these area "poor", I'd rather call them "real". what is the eye opening experience to me, is that these part of the cities are disappearing, and very soon they will no longer exist, China will lose a lot, just by replacing them with skyscrapers....

Not quite sure if we're talking about the same thing. When I see these areas, the children helping their families at work and elderly playing board games outside, it's real life. Here in UK I hear most people my age talking about FIFA (football video game) and it seems everyone thinks life is easy. The children that have to work know it isn't though.

Isee what you mean. Iniquity exists everywhere though. No need to go to UK to hear youngsters thinking life is easy. In Chinese city you can still find lots of youngsters who don't even know the slightest thing about their country, just because they have had the chace to born in a wealthy family
